Life Update: Work, fashion, and blogging opportunities

Wow. It's been AWHILE  since I've posted a blog post.  A whole month and a half, and girl, that's way too long. I'm embarrassed.  I don't have a real excuse, it's honestly just that time somehow got away from me throughout the entire month of August. I had a lot of deadlines I needed to meet, so blogging kind of took a backseat for a sec. I instead took time to focus on my Instagram and my internships. But, we're gearing up for September, and I promise I won't neglect my festive babes!

August as a whole was a great month for me. I was working a lot and just trying to get better at my craft in any way possible. I dedicated a lot of my time to my internship work and my other job, and that really did not leave much free time. When I did have some free time, I used it to pour into my Instagram. Your girl finally has Adobe Lightroom (feeling like a real blogger.) Now the challenge is mastering how to use it.   My work paid off and I was blessed with three Instagram campaigns via Heartbeat with three incredible brands. For so long, I never believed my blogging or social media work would be good enough to snag campaigns. I always felt like my feed wasn't cohesive enough or my following was too low. But securing three campaigns last month proves that I'm improving every day.

Also, more BIG NEWS! This month was the first month where brands have actually reached out to me for posts in exchange for free product. Prior to this, I've been invited to attend local events as a blogger, but no brand has reached out to work with me on a post. Your girl was elated, and a little skeptical of getting scammed (because you never know.) But, my first package arrived last week and It was a huge moment of gratitude for me. It feels unbelievable sometimes that brands actually want to send their products to ME!  I'm so grateful for every gift and just the journey of blogging.  I can't wait to see where else it will lead.

August was also a pretty big clothing month for me. I placed my first order on Sheinside (I know, I know, I'm SUPER late)  and also got a bunch of clothes from my mom. She didn't want them anymore, so basically I have a thrift haul I need to blog about ASAP. Later this week, I might do a post featuring the clothes I got from both Sheinside and the clothing from my mom. I've never blogged about new clothing I've gotten, but I think it will add something fresh to my content. Let me know if that's something you would be interested in.

In the month of September, I also want to write a post about gearing up for quarter four. October starts the last stretch of the year, and I want to do a post to motivate my readers to end strong. I also want to motivate myself as well especially as far as career and blogging.

I am also planning to do more post-grad related content so stay tuned for that as well.

And lastly, I just want to thank you for reading festivelyfaith.com. I promise this is only the beginning, and it will only get better. I won't take as long as a break anymore. It's grind time. It's go time. Are you ready?
