If you have been following me for a while, then you know how much love I have for A Magazine.
It's Kent State's only fashion publication, and I have the privilege of being an assistant editor.
I still remember the first day I found out I made the editorial board. I was so excited to take on a challenging and important position. I love that I can help mentor younger writers, to produce great stories and amazing content.
We recently just produced our fall issue and it's perfect. It covers topics from periods to skateboarding and is very representative of art and culture. I was fortunate to write a feature, titled "best mates, who aren't your date." It's a look at friendship and its evolvement under the presence of technology.
I had such a great time interviewing professors, and college students among different universities to explore the phenomenon. I think interviewing is my favorite part of being a reporter because you constantly learn new things. I think we should always be students, and always yearn to explore new ideas. It makes life fun.
Anyways, I'm probably babbling, so I would just love to encourage everyone to check out A Mag if you haven't. Each and every staff member put a lot of hours and hard work into each and every page. It's definitely worth the read. If you need a copy, let me know!
