My 3 ULTIMATE Must-Haves For Productivity (advice from a social media coordinator, blogger, and freelancer.)

My Three Ultimate Must-Haves for Productivity

Lately, I have been determined to get to the grind! The warm weather has inspired me to pour into myself, and virtual conferences featuring inspirational women (shout out to EveryStylishGirl) have fired me up.

This newfound motivation and sunshine are exactly what I needed, and I feel like I'm in my productivity prime again. As a result, I've been writing more blog posts, doing more freelance work, and creating more for my job in social media. I just feel rejuvenated again, and I am so grateful.

I think some of you can relate to not feeling 100% in 2020 because of what's going on in the world. But lately, I feel like I'm finally getting back to myself, and I’m feeling more energized than ever to reach my goals.

As you all know, I work in social media, I run my blog, and I freelance. And to be completely honest, my schedule can easily become OVERLOADED and overwhelming. I have to be productive every day so I can do my best work in all areas. There's no room for slipping in my book. Here are my ultimate, ultimate must-haves for maximum productivity that I've been loving lately.

ESTABLISHING A ROUTINE WITH MY TO-DO LIST AND CALENDARS (Using Google Cal and Trello)

As someone who has her hand in so many things, I need to-do lists and calls to stay on top of everything I have coming up. Of course, I live for Google Calendar, but I don't use it for time-blocking. Over the past year, I've learned that I'm not a time-blocking person. I've tried it, and it's just too restrictive. Instead, I love putting things like meetings and important upcoming dates on my cal. I also have recently been loving Trello. I think I mentioned Trello in a previous post, but I love how it keeps me updated on different tasks I have in all areas of my life. I love how you can create different boards and really define a system for almost everything. I just love a seamless organization, and I love Google Cal and Trello for all my organizational needs.

A BOMB INTERNET CONNECTION, DUH! (XFINITY WIFI always comes through)

Okay, so I know we've all been there. You are finally feeling productive enough to push through a bunch of work, but your WiFi has plans of its own and completely ruins yours. THE WORST. I struggled with this a lot in college and with my previous internet provider. But since I moved on from college and started using Xfinity, my internet connection has always been reliable!

I appreciate it now more than ever, because my work life relies on my own internet connection. I need an internet provider who's gonna kill it! And Xfinity does every. Single. Time.

You all know how much I love Xfinity, and I am so excited to partner with them once again on this blog post. Xfinity xFi is probably my favorite feature, and it’s definitely the feature I use the most in my personal and professional life. It's simple to use and manage, FAST, and easy to personalize.  XFi is the best WIFi experience in my humble opinion. I use it for my internet connection while WFH, and I love how easy it is to control (especially with their advanced security feature that allows you to block internet threats to connected devices. ) Great internet is priceless to me, and Xfinity always exceeds my expectations.

MAKING ADDITIONAL SPACE (MINIMIZING COMPUTER SPACE TO MAXIMIZE PRODUCTIVITY)

One huge struggle I encountered while working in quarantine was that I had no more storage space on my computer whatsoever. This was a huge problem for my freelance work and my job because I couldn’t save the social media posts I created. It ultimately made a simple task 10 times harder, because my lack of storage always hindered me in some way.

Recently, I invested in a solid-state drive (SSD), and it has been the ultimate lifesaver for me. On Saturday, I spent a couple hours moving files over to my SSD, and my struggles instantly went away. Sometimes it just takes a simple investment to get your life together.

A BONUS MUST-HAVE: A BOMB PLAYLIST

I'm gonna have to give my honorable mention to a great playlist! This just gets me IN THE ZONE! I made a blog post all about my playlist of songs I've been loving in quarantine. Check that post out here to see what I've been listening to!

Now I wanna know what's been making you more productive? Let me know the tea down below so I can try out a few of your must-haves.
