And 2022 is your year to fully step into your purpose and get everything you deserve. You already have it all, and this year is going to bring you much abundance and joy.

Read on for 5 easy tips on being that girl in 2022.

Make time for rest:

Rest is just as important of productivity. Rest is what fuels you and sustains your energy, so it should never be a second thought. EVER! You deserve to take some time to have a few slow mornings, to sit in silence, and take that nap! Rest is necessary, so don’t ever feel guilty about taking some downtime. Rest gives you the energy to push even harder towards your goals.

Practice Gratitude

Gratitude is everything, okay!? It’s simply saying “thank you” for the things that you currently have in your life. One thing that I can struggle with is always pushing for more, more more! Gratitude takes a moment to appreciate what you do have, rather than focusing on what your life lacks. It’s so helpful for shifting your focus and creating space for more positivity and joy in your life. One thing that I am incorporating in my life this year is a morning and evening gratitude journal to keep me on track with the daily practice.

Create clear boundaries

Boundaries are seriously so important. And creating clear and healthy boundaries can help to lesson burnout, improve your overall mental health and creates space for more authentic relationships. Tune into yourself and figure out what boundaries you want to implement this year, and communicate them! We're leaving burning out in 2021, and we are entering 2022 with clear and direct boundaries.

Make space for the activities that bring you joy

One thing that I have recently learned from an Instagram post from someone I follow on IG (@taylor.loren) is to make time for the things we enjoy. Sometimes when we feel tired or burnt out from work, our first reaction is to take a nap, do nothing, or turn on our favorite Netflix show. But sometimes, it can be beneficial to do the opposite. Sometimes we need to make a little more time for the activities and things that actually bring us joy. For me, that can look like creating content for fun, or spending time with friends or family. It's really important to find time for the things you love because that's what keeps things exciting.

Create habits that are realistic to you

Create habits that feel realistic to you! Sometimes we can feel obligated to take on certain habits or routines that we see on social media, but It’s also important to create a habit that feels realistic to you. If waking up at 6:00 am is not your thing, then it doesn’t have to be! 8:00 am, might be more of your thing! And just because a YouTuber you love wakes up at 6:00 am, doesn’t mean that you need to. Create a lifestyle that feels true and realistic to you, period!

Thanks for reading!

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690804363013825528.post-80145799405923548002021-12-07T16:39:00.002-08:002021-12-07T17:04:55.057-08:00BACK IN MY BLOG BAG-- 2022 has nothing on me

Hiii,

It has been a MINUTE. It's honestly been a pretty long minute. I can't believe I haven't hit publish on a blog post in almost a year. This is the longest break I've had, but I'm ready to get back to it.

I think the number one reason for my absence from my blog is the shift in social media. This year, one of my goals was to get better with video content. I think this goal kind of shifted my focus away from the blog. But I know there's space for both to coexist in my life. I've loved creating video content this year, but I also love writing. Words are my first love, and I've missed them so much. I miss creating articles, SEO research, and connecting with my audience here. So hi, I'm back!

I also think another reason for my absence is just procrastination and fear of not having time for this project. But like someone once said, "You make time for the things you want." And I can make time for this. Even if it's just 30 minutes per day. I can do it. I am capable. I am doing it! It's done.

I would also love to bring some fresh concepts to the blog. Of course, I love the fashion and personal growth content, but I would love to incorporate book reviews, social media tips, and more multimedia content that incorporates my video content.

I look forward to revamping the content and getting all the way back in my blogging bag. Oh wait, also I started a YT channel a few weeks ago. Still getting the hang of editing and things over there, but check out this video for a few facts about me.

No excuses. I've always wanted to create more fashion content, and share my fashion tips. And this year, I'm going for it. And I'm kicking off the first style post of the year with 3 casual winter outfit ideas.

I'm so excited to share this post because I've honestly lived in sweatpants and leggings for months. It felt exciting to actually get cute for once, and tap into my styling skills.

Casual style is one of my favorites. I'm a sucker for denim, cute tops, and a bomb jacket. These outfits touch on a little bit of everything. One must have I wanted to cover when planning these 3 outfits, is comfort. Because the reality is many of us might just be wearing these looks around the house or to the grocery store. I really wanted this post to be super realistic. With that said, read on for 3 of my favorite winter outfits.

#Spotted

We are starting with a bang! This outfit is definitely my favorite. I am thoroughly obsessed with this jacket. The black and white polka dots just do something to me. And it fits PERFECTLY (something that rarely happens to me as I am 4'10 lol.)

I decided to throw the jacket over an all black outfit. I love how it dressed up the look and added an easy trendy element. It's like I tried, but I really didn't. Honestly, I don't know where I would wear this since I rarely leave the house. But who knows, I might pull up to the grocery store with this fit.

Outfit details:

Jacket (ASOS)

Black Turtle Neck (Similar)

Black Boyfriend Jeans (SheIn)

Green with Gratitude

I'm giving the girls a monochromatic moment with this look. I don't know about you but I'm feeling recharged, rejuvenated, and open to all 2021 has for us. And I'm proud to say that over the holiday, I did a lot of reflecting and journaling on how I want to show up this year. I've decided that I want to be more intentional and confident about creating. Creation is my happy place in a lot of different mediums, and I want to fully be proud of the things I create. That's really the root of all my goals. Of course, I have more structured goals as well for different areas of my life.

One thing that really gets my motivation going at the start of the year is reading inspiring quotes from incredible women. This helps me set my alignment for the year, and think positively. Today on the blog, I've rounded up 15 of my favorite boss women quotes for the new year.

I see your fear and it's big. The holiday season. Cue Chance the Rapper and Jeremih's Christmas album! It took a little longer for me to get into the holiday spirit this year with everything going on, and this year looking so different. But I would say this week, I've been full swing into the Christmas spirit.

I have been going full force into Christmas shopping mode! This is honestly the first year where I've been able to afford nice gifts for my whole family. And that I am so grateful for. I am so grateful to be in the position to do good for others without having to worry about money or anything.

And this year family means the most to me. I think if 2020 has done one thing, it's shown that family is really all we have. You can strip away all the events, going back and forth to work, and just daily tasks. Living at home during a pandemic is honestly something I'm grateful for because it's allowed me to spend so much time with my family. I'm also glad I'm not living alone during the pandemic because I honestly don't love being alone. Lately my family and I have been doing a lot of holiday activities together.

Read on to for 7 holiday activities to do with your family right now!

Host a Zoom Holiday Party With Friends And Family

This year has brought on many things, and Zoom is one of them! Since cases are still rising, the safest thing to do is host a Zoom Party with friends.

Drive-by Light Display

My family and I just did this two weeks ago! We drove to Downtown Rochester, MI to see their gorgeous light display. My brother said their display has like a million lights. It was truly mesmerizing, every building was covered in lights. You can choose to either walk the display or drive through in your vehicle. My family and I decided to just drive by to make sure we social distanced properly.

Cookie Baking Night

This is one of my personal favorites! One thing about me: I love baking! It's the most fun, and chocolate chip cookies are my favorite to make. I'll be baking with my family this Saturday and I can't wait!

Visit a Downtown Area During Christmas

Downtown areas are always THE CUTEST during the holidays. Head to the city with your family, visit a few shops, and take plenty of pictures.

Holiday Movie Night

It's really not up for debate, holiday movies are UNMATCHED, and you can't tell me otherwise. Grab some takeout (or make a meal together) and throw on a festive film! I personally love Netflix holiday movies, but my mom loves the Hallmark holiday movies. The choice is yours!

Holiday Game Night

Host a holiday game night! Game nights are always fun especially with the fam! The holidays are the perfect time to dust off that Scrabble game in the cabinet and pull out UNO! Or you can play a holiday themed game. Click here for a couple ideas.

Go Down Memory Lane

Shout out to my brother for this activity idea! I've actually never had any type of iPad in my life. I always stuck to my phone and my MacBook, but lately I have been itching for an iPad. Since working in social media and dabbling in some freelance projects, I'm in need of another device that gives me a little bit more room to create. And the iPad Air I think is the answer for me I think. Anyways, I think this item is great for anyone who creates content, artsy side, or who attends school. Apple also has a good range of options at different price points depending on your techie's need and your budget.

Strong women. Fearless women. Women who run the world.

What makes a woman powerful? To me, a powerful woman is someone who is fearless, sure of herself, productive, and strong.

I think we all have a powerful woman inside of us. It's just about having the courage to unleash it. It's all in us, and when we finally get in touch with our inner powerful woman... It's over. Today on the blog, I'm sharing 11 habits of insanely powerful women. If you want to tap in to your inner power, this post is for you!

1. She Gets Up Early

A powerful woman gets up and at em'. The morning is gold. It's the time where most are productive and harness the most energy. I know many people are convinced their most productive a night, but according to research, the brain is more alert in the mornings. Getting up early sets you up for your maximum productivity. Plus, it's said decisions are made more clearly during the morning, than any other time in the day. You can get your most important tasks done early when your performance is best instead of procrastinating the day.

2. She Fuels Her Body With Nutrients

If you want to be powerful, it starts from within. That means eating powerful foods that are filled with nutrients that will give you energy to last all day. And nutrient dense foods will keep your body at its healthiest. A few foods that are great to incorporate into your diet are spinach, kale, wheat, quinoa, strawberries, blueberries, salmon, eggs, and oranges. My favorite way to incorporate nutrients into my diet is through drinking smoothies. They are delish, and nutritious at the same time! Gotta love that!

3. She's Always Learning and Reading

What keeps a woman powerful? Her willingness to learn. I don't know who needs to hear this, but you don't know everything. One of the best things you can do for yourself is continually educate yourself. Things are always changing and evolving, so it's important to always soak up information. Spend some of your day reading articles, listening to podcasts, reading books, watching Ted Talks, and more! There's always new and important information to learn. And knowledge will always be power.

4. She Gets Enough Sleep

If you're ready to tap into your inner power, one of the most important things you need to do is get enough sleep. Energy is the ultimate power. Better sleep can make you feel invigorated, energized, and unstoppable. Getting a high-quality rest you're able to operate at your best. When you get enough sleep, your body can recharge by restoring many of its functions like temperature regulation and keeping your immune system strong. Although that sounds a little boring, this will charge you up so you can be the best you can be every morning.

5. She Doesn't Compare Herself

A powerful woman knows that she is only in competition with herself. She is always bettering herself, and knows that comparison distracts from her progress. She stands in her purpose and is sure of herself and her abilities that she was blessed with. She is confident in her abilities, and doesn't see someone else's success as a threat to hers. She knows she was born was to win, and the next person will never stop her glow.

6. She Pushes Through Challenges and Adversity

Powerful women know how to take a challenge and use it as her fuel. Powerful women don't give up when faced with a challenge, in fact, they embrace it. She takes her obstacles head on, and figures out the best strategy to manage them. And in certain situations, she seeks support because she realizes some challenges she can't solve solely by herself. Even when the adversity seems too hard to push forward, she continues because she knows there's something great in store for her,

7. She Surrounds Herself With People That Inspire Her

She surrounds herself with people that want the best for her, inspire her, and challenges her. She knows that environment is so important, so she's always editing and readjusting as needed. She doesn't have time for competition with friends, that's reserved for herself.

8. She's Goal Oriented

She's all about her goals, and is always tracking her progress. She wants better, so she creates a strategy to get there. And she WORKS HARD toward them every day. She knows even the smallest progress towards her goals is still progress.

9. She Sets Clear Boundaries

Setting boundaries is something hugely important to her. She knows her worth, and sets her boundaries based on that. She isn't afraid to set clear and healthy boundaries that benefit her well-being. She knows her worth, and she shows up in that way.

10. She Thinks BIG

She wants bigger, so she thinks bigger. And that's just that on that! She knows the power of manifesting, and she truly believes she can achieve anything. She never limits herself, and she uses her goals to grow.

11. She Shows Confidence in her Abilities

She knows how long she's prepared and crafted her skills, so she's confident in them in every way. Yes, imposter syndrome strikes her from time to time, but she doesn't let that stop her. She constantly works to get better, and that gives her the ultimate sense of confidence.

What are some things that make you powerful?

Thank you so much for reading! And I must say even though this season is incredibly busy for me, I still found time to have some fall fun. Fall activities are hands down THE BEST. It's the apple cider, the pumpkin patches, and the apple orchards for me. A few weeks ago I stopped by Vanhoutte Farm, Michigan, and had an amazing fall day.

It's a small farm with a market, flower field and pumpkin patch. And trust me, it gives all the fall vibes. Lots of pumpkins, cider, doughnuts, and sunflowers every way you turn. Although it's small, my family and I were able to walk around, take tons of pictures, and explore their outdoor market. And of course, we didn't leave empty-handed. We grabbed some cider, doughnuts, apples, and sunflowers. It was the perfect fall day.

And of course, we can't forget my outfit. I've been a gold girl since I was young, but something about the gold jewelry trends in 2020 just hits different.

When I first got into gold pieces in high school, I would shop any gold costume jewelry I found in Kohls with my mom. In just months, so many pieces lost their color and tarnished. I would be so hurt lol. But since I'm out of college, and have more disposable income, I've been all about building my jewelry collection with pieces I love.

As I am looking to build my jewelry collection to include more high-quality pieces, one of my favorite places to shop for gold jewelry lately has been Maedelle. Maedelle is a contemporary jewelry company that stands for good, and strives to make a positive impact. And I am super excited to be partnering with Maedelle on this blog post, to share my honest thoughts of the brand and some of my favorite Jewelry pieces from them.

But first, I have to talk about their mission which is one of my favorite things about them. I love that Maedelle is strong in its purpose and mission. Maedelle believes that fashion should make a lasting impact. And because of their incredible mission, a portion of EVERY SINGLE SALE is donated to various charities benefiting research and support of those affected by cancer. For example, for the month of September, all proceeds go to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

My ultimate fave as of late has been the Tab Bracelet and Ankle Set. This set is a matching tab anklet and bracelet that looks perfect for every season. The gold finish is truly beautiful and the piece is very high quality. I love wearing them both together and separately. The anklet looks great with both heels, sandals, or all-white sneakers.

Here are some of my picks that are under $100:

Tab Bracelet and Anklet Set (ULTIMATE FAVE)

Herringbone Bracelet

Large Herringbone Chain

Favorite Fine Jewelry Pieces over $100 (BOMB investment pieces.)

Sparkle Anklet in 14k Gold

Curb-Link Anklet in 14k White Gold

Textured Small Hoop Earrings in 14k Yellow Gold

If you're looking to level up your jewelry collection, please check out https://maedelle.com/ and shop some incredible gold jewelry pieces. I am loving the mix of fabrics, and usage of accessories in this look. In the summer I grabbed this Boohoo top, and to me it's seasonless. The long chiffon sleeves make it suitable for both warm and cooler temps. To make this look more classic, I paired it with an H&M denim skirt. My accessories are just a belt from a local boutique, Shein shades, and my forever crossbody (Marc Jacobs Snapshot bag.) This look is timeless, and oh so cute!

Denim Blues

Wow, what a surprise! Another denim look. But rightfully so because denim and fall were just made for each other. I love rocking denim skirts, pants, and jackets throughout the entire fall season. In this look, I paired this classic denim jacket from Target with a cropped tank from Shein, and black trousers from Boohoo. This look is perfect for those bipolar weather days when it's super cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon. If I'm being completely honest, normally I avoid change in my life at all costs. I usually stick to the same things. My same route to work. My same computer since college. My same phone update from however many months ago. My same fast-food order. Literally, same. Same. Same.

But since the start of this year, I've been embracing change and all that comes from it. Well, one because 2020 completely turned life upside down, so I kind of just went with it. I changed up my room, cut my hair, and adjusted to a whole new way of life.

I feel like 2020 so far has really showed many of us how to find joy in change even when things are so different and scary.

Change is good. It's great, actually. Change teaches us all to grow into greatness and level up. It's great to try something new, and expand your horizons, and to just go outside your comfort zone. Basically, the key to bossing up in your life is trying something new and doing something totally different than you would before.

Here are some of my favorite things that happen that I notice comes with change:

- Personal growth

- New Opportunities

- New beginnings

- Things new and exciting to look forward to

- Spicing up your daily new routine

- New topics to talk about

- Greater progress

As you all know, I'm all about bossing up, and setting myself up to receive everything that I want in life. I believe that 2020 is my year to focus. And that takes investing in myself and embracing change and newness. I'm gonna continue experimenting, betting on myself, and just basking in all the goodness that change brings.

One way I have been embracing change in my life is by expanding my usage of Xfinity. If you're an avid monthly reader of my blog, you know how much I love all things social, technology,. Throughout this year, I had an amazing opportunity to work with the amazing team over at Xfinity on a couple of blog posts (which was such a dream because I've used Xfinity my whole life basically.)

Looking back to the beginning of the year, I really knew nothing about all the services and offerings Xfinity offered. All I knew was that they slayed at cable and internet. I remember visiting an Xfinity location and being guided briefed on every tech option they offered and leaving so empowered and knowledgeable.

If you don't know, Xfinity offers a wide range of services that include Xfinity XFi (WiFi that's actually reliable even when your whole family is on!) XFi Gateway (provides enhanced WiFi control and enhanced security), Xfinity X1 (an all-in-one entertainment experience, and Xfinity Mobile (their fast wireless network.)

One service I do want to explore is Xfinity Home. I would love to explore the security monitoring feature. It's base home system is complete with the Xfinity Home app, touchscreen controller, window sensors and so much more. I'm all about being safe, and my home is one of my favorite places so I always think it's great to be prepared for anything.

Another service I'm really looking forward to trying and discovering is Xfinity Mobile. My iPhone is literally half of me, so I need a phone company that isn't going to let me down. Plus, I hear you can save extra money when you get Xfinity internet and moble together. And just as a whole, Xfinity Mobile has so many great perks like no activation fees and 5G that's included at no extra cost. As you guys know, I'm all about saving money, so I love that Comcast delivers great service at an amazing price.

One feature I am super interested in is the automatic connection to Xfinity WFi Hotspots in the area. I love features that allow me to stress less and enjoy more, so I'm definitely looking into making the change to Xfinity Mobile soon because it seems like the best of the best.

I'm so ready for a change, and for me, that means looking into additional Xfinity products because I know their service has always got my back. Through its variety of products and services, Xfinity continues to provide value to my daily life, so it's a no brainer for me to try some new products of theirs that I haven't tried.

What new things are you interested in trying lately?? Let me know below! And be sure to check out Xfinity here: https://xfin.tv/31YSWKe

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690804363013825528.post-14780843642145093212020-09-09T06:00:00.003-07:002020-09-09T06:00:00.162-07:00How to land your first brand collab with 1000 followers

Hey girl, so you wanna collab with trendy brands with your blog or Instagram? Yes!? Let's get it! Making money and obtaining gifted items with your blog or Instagram is totally possible in 2020. Don't ever doubt yourself. And don't ever think you can't get there.

You can even do this with 1000 followers.

Don't believe what the haters say. YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY EARN INCOME AND PARTNER WITH INCREDIBLE BRANDS WITH JUST 1000 FOLLOWERS. In 2020 brands are looking for so many things besides followers when recruiting for influencer collabs and partnerships

Having a large following is not the only determining factor to working with brands anymore. However, your following can make it a little harder for some big brands to take you seriously as a creator. But, this just means you might have to convince them a little more in your pitch.

There are hundreds of companies that are not looking for influencers with large followings but looking for people with influence who can create great content.

It really just comes down to the companies goals and the synergy between you and the company. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't work with brands because your following is low. My first ever paid partnership was with a company that came within months of launching my blog, and at the time I did not have high viewership at all. But I saw myself as a real blogger, and as a result, the brand did too.

Have a Clear Niche + Pitch Accordingly

Brands look at creators who have a clear focus. If you're interested in working with a beauty brand, that beauty brand will likely look at your profile to see if you're a good fit. If you only blog and post about food, then it's likely that the brand won't want to work with you. Have a clear niche, and pitch brands that align directly or similarly to your niche.

Have a Clean and professional blog page layout

One of the things that I believe makes me stand out among others is a clean blog layout. To keep it completely real, nobody wants to look at a messy homepage, ever. It doesn't matter how bomb your writing is or how amazing your tips are, if your blog is ugly, it's a huge distraction. Having an easy to read, and easy to navigate blog page is a must-have when working with brands and creating blog content. Brands want to have aesthetically pleasing content to link back to or grab content from. If your web page is messy, and hard to navigate, that can be a deal-breaker for the brand.

Come prepared AF when pitching

Slide into a brand's email with a collaboration that they just can't turn down. And how do you do this!? Well, collaborating with brands is a partnership, and through your email, you should clearly state the benefits of the potential collaboration.

Will the brand get exposure to your large audience? Will the brand get your professional level product shots? Or will the brand get an incredible lifestyle content shoot? Basically, whatever you can provide the brand, be sure to clearly highlight that in your email. The brand needs to know exactly what you can do for them, before they say yes! It's really that easy!

When first starting out, join influencer networks

Honestly, this was the game-changer for me. Within months of starting my blog, I got my first partnership with Clarisonic (rip!) through InfluenceHerCollective.

Influencer or blogger networks are agencies that secure brand campaigns all year long. Usually, they will send a call out through email or their website for bloggers or influencers to apply. If the agency and brand think you're a good fit, you'll be invited to participate in the campaign.

Some influencer networks have a minimum amount of followers or social media stats, but some are open to small creators. But there are tons and tons. Getting your first collab on these collabs may be a little difficult at first, but once you gain one collab, the ones after will be a lot easier because brands will see that you have experience in creating great content.

And to wrap up this blog post, I just want to say learn as you go! When you're a blog or influencer, it's not always a linear path, but the more you put yourself out there and try different things, the more success and collabs you will see. Just first, get started and the rest will fall into place. If you have any questions on brand deals or collabs, comment your question below and I'll be happy to answer.

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690804363013825528.post-43738827999333892082020-09-01T21:15:00.002-07:002020-09-01T21:15:58.052-07:00THE #1 REASON WHY NOBODY IS READING YOUR BLOG

I don't know who needs to hear this, but nobody is reading your blog because you keep talking about yourself.

There I said it. And even as I am typing this, I needed to hear this too. Badly. I was "last week years old" when I learned this, and I'm convinced this is why after blogging for two years, I haven't seen the traffic numbers I wished for.

I bombarded my few followers with life updates on why I was gone, gave countless roundup posts on things I am doing to better MY life, and featured photos on outfits I'M loving.

Until one day last week, I watched a video on blogging tips for monetization, and the creator said something that absolutely shocked me.

She said NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU. At first, I was in complete confusion. Like how am I supposed to just stop talking about myself on my blog after doing so for all these freaking years? And also, what does she mean by this!?

But then she kept going, by saying "BLOGGING IS ABOUT THE READER" And as much as a no-brainer that statement is... I realized in almost none of my posts had I done this. In almost all of my posts, I used "I" instead of "you." I completely missed the mark, and didn't think about my reader. I gave tips, but never presented it as help for the reader in my title, pins, etc. All my content was written from the frame of my life, which can be harmful for things like SEO.

SEO and blogging go hand and hand. SEO is like the icing on top of the cake, and who wants to eat cake without icing!? SEO is how readers find and locate your blog through search, and as a blogger, you want to rank high on the search rankings to drive insane traffic back to your blog and ultimately make $$.

If all your posts are about YOU, who's going to know how to search for this!? And I know many of you will think "oh my Instagram followers will be interested..." Maybe, but honestly, Instagram brings in super low web traffic compared to Google and Pinterest.

People who head to Google and Pinterest are there with the purpose of learning something new or to find inspiration. If you are a blogger, this is the group you want because these people are ready to learn and ready to click.

By creating helpful articles for your potential audience, this will in exchange grow your audience. So, I'll say it again because I don't know if they heard me in the way back.... "NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU, BLOGGING IS ABOUT THE READER. "

And let me preface this by saying, if you are a seasoned blogger with a large audience, there's no problem in doing this, but when you are just starting out, your blog should absolutely be about the reader.

People read blogs to learn information, new ideas, and new concepts. They'll fall in love with you, the writer, after the fact.

First, you have to hook them with the value you provide, and then later down the line, you can incorporate pieces that are directly related to you. As you grow and blog more, your audience will become more interested in the person behind the blog.

SOOO GIRL, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Well, it means keep creating. But this time, create with the reader in mind, not just yourself. And I know it's so easy to create blog posts about current things you are wearing or current favorites, but you can still do this, just change up the title and the language.

Try to really did deep and understand your audience. What language do they speak? What topics are they searching for? How can you entertain, educate them, or inspire them with your knowledge? Speak directly to them. Create headlines that make them stop in their scroll, and instantly click. And whatever blog post you are interested in creating, just tailer it to serve your audience.

This is how you will gain traffic to your site and loyal readers. Help them first and foremost. Once you nail this tip, it's onwards and upwards. Let's get it!

Please let me know if you loved this post, and would like other blogging tips from me! I mean the list just goes on and on. Blogging is a whole business, and just like any great business, it needs a plan.

When creating your business plan for your blog, one of the first things you need to decide is your niche. Now, I'm going to be completely honest with you, I've been blogging for almost two years, and I never really sat down to determine a niche for myself until recently. I always repped the "lifestyle blogger" group super hard because I always felt like I had too many interests to be tied down to just one.

But being a lifestyle blogger can be really hard because there isn't one place of focus. What I have found is there's a secret sauce in having a laser focus when it comes to creating content. You can still always do "lifestyle type" posts from time to time, but I think there's something great about having tunnel vision on one or two topics. Let's say if you are a marketing expert, you should definitely focus on creating marketing content instead of dabbling in every popular niche out there. Why? Because there's a secret sauce that you have that can easily solve someone's problem out there.

Lifestyle content is great but I think it's a tad harder to find a solid community if you don't first have a focus. Remember, you can always focus on your clear niche, and create lifestyle content. It's all about a good mix, but your niche should be your focus.

And I already know what you're thinking. "How the heck do I find a niche when I have soooo many different interests?" Girl, I've been there, I feel you, and here are three tips to help you find your niche as a blogger."

Loving this post? Check out these similar posts:

5 reasons why you should start a blog // How studying journalism can help skyrocket your career as a blogger

DETERMINE WHAT YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT

The first step in figuring out your niche is figuring out what you're actually passionate about creating. If your biggest passion is DIY projects, but you are only creating content about designer shopping, you probably aren't going to be the best designer shopping blogger. I believe the best work comes from a place of PASSION. Start thinking about what really ignites your fire, and what subjects you just can't shut up about. Those are feelings of passion, and when it comes to blogging, you gotta have those feelings.

WRITE DOWN A LIST OF ALL YOUR INTERESTS:

For my people out there who find themselves interested in sooo many things, take some time to write down all your interests and narrow them down into topics. There are probably a few of your interests that fall under the same topics. Once you have these topics figured out, try to determine what interests you or excites you the most. I say, you can have no more than two niches before things start getting junky. Pick two or one topic, and nail down your niche. Bonus, your niches don't have to be directly related to each other, but they should make sense. For example, my niche is petite fashion and personal development. The two are completely diffrent from one another, but can definitely make sense together on a blog page.

EXTRA TIP: Consider what your current audience is also passionate about, and what they like from you. My audience loves my fashion posts way more than anything else. So, not only is it a topic I'm passionate about, it's also a topic my audience loves to see.

"OKAY, I THINK I FOUND MY NICHE. NOW WHAT!?"

WRITE DOWN 30 IDEAS TO CREATE CONTENT:

Congrats!! You have a clear idea on what your niche is. Now, it's time to flourish! Write down 30 ideas of content you can create within your niche. If you're creating a blog, try to think of at least 30 starter posts you can create in the next few months. Once you really sit down to focus, the ideas will really start to roll through.

FOLLOW YOUR NICHE TRIBE:

What I love about niches, it that there is so much potential to meet similar creators. Give them a follow, and look to a few successful bloggers for inspo within your niche. When you're a smaller blogger, it's all about community. Your niche is really where you find that close-knit community who roots for you, engages, and makes this blogging world a little bit more fun!

Once you find your niche, creating content gets so much easier because you have a clear focus! But above all, creating content is all about having fun and connecting with others! If you found your niche in the blogging world, let me know what it is in the comments below!

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com18tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690804363013825528.post-22913766306364225992020-08-12T20:21:00.015-07:002020-08-13T04:37:48.056-07:005 THINGS EVERY COLLEGE STUDENT SHOULD KNOW IN 2020

Back to school time will always be one of my favorite times of the year. When I was in college, back to school was basically like another new year.

It was time to get extremely organized, set new goals, buy a new planner, get cute dorm stuff, and figure out what books I was not going to buy (and what new clothing I was going to buy lol.) I was always so excited to experience Welcome Weekend and get reunited with my Ohio friends again.

But now back to school as a recent grad is kind of sad. I get serious FOMO seeing so many of my friends heading back to another year at my alma mater, and reuniting with their friends. College was honestly such a special time, and whenever back to school rolls around, I think of how amazing it was.

So this year on the blog, I wanted to do something special. Here are my 5 things I believe every college student should know.

Make a promise to get involved

One thing I will always thank myself for is getting involved in college. I was a resident assistant, an editor at my school's fashion magazine, and a writer at a few other campus publications. I wanted to get the most of my college experience beyond the classroom, so I made it my mission to get involved in my first semester.

Secure the best technology set up

One thing every college student should have is a great technology set up. Having a secure WiFi connection will always come in clutch at times you need it the most. When you're rushing to submit a Blackboard assignment, you completely forgot about two minutes before it's due. That skill, my friend, is only as strong as your internet connection, and Xfinity delivers every time.

For this blog post, I am working with my faves at Xfinity to give you guys another reason to invest in the best technology service. Especially when it comes to back to school season.

Xfinity xFi is a great option for students as it gives you the speed, coverage, and control you need. And as so many schools are switching a majority of their classes to an online format this semester, it's super important to have a reliable technology set up that will give you the same success level as if you were in a classroom.

I honestly believe that having a fast internet connection is such a gamechanger and makes everything go by so much faster. There's nothing worse than working on an assignment when your internet has a hiccup. That's what I love about Xfinity- the connection remains strong all day every day.

One incredible thing Xfinity is offering for the remainder of 2020 is open WiFi Hot Spots for everyone (including non-customers of Xfinity.) This means that you can use their internet wherever you go and it’s available, making it easy to stay connected. Xfinity has also extended their pledge to help college students stay connected by providing college students with a $150 prepaid VISA card to students who sign up for their internet offering before Sept. 30. Check out info on that here

Craft the greatest study playlist of all time (you'll thank yourself later)

Okay, so this one is an absolute must-have. A good playlist will do wonders for you during long nights in the library, or long walks to your class. I can't stress this enough. And when you have the perfect technology set up, downloading music becomes a breeze. Because we all know there’s nothing worse than getting all hype to turn on your favorite song, and the song ends up lagging or pausing the song to buffer. It’s THE WORST! Xfinity XFi makes it easy to listen to your favorite playlist with no hiccups.

And just a personal tip from my secret life as a playlist DJ (lol, )the key to a great study playlist is a great mix of upbeat songs and songs that still allow you to concentrate. Here's a link to my quarantine playlist if you want to get a few ideas to start crafting your perfect playlist.

Visit https://xfin.tv/30mCRgi to see how much Xfinity can level up your college experience as far as music, studying, etc.

Create a scheduling system that sets you up for success

In college, I feel my success was only as good as my scheduling system. I'm really not a super planner connoisseur, but in college, I had to get with the program when I became a resident assistant. Things got really stressful, really quick. But I learned that Google Cal was actually a lot better for me because I could have recurring events and meetings living on my calendar for several months. It helped me to save time instead of having to continually write what was upcoming in the week.

If I can give one piece of advice to a college student in 2020, it would be to find a scheduling system that works for you at the very beginning. Even if it's your first semester and you're not in any clubs, I would suggest inputting your class times in your calendar, tests, assignments due, and allocating time for hanging out with your friends.

I really wish I would have done this sooner because this was the personal gamechanger for me.

Create the ultimate list of goals you plan to achieve in the school year

I think my favorite thing about a new school year is the opportunity to create new goals. I mean, who doesn't love a fresh start!? A new school year is a perfect time to create a few academic, personal, social, and career goals for yourself. And I don't know who needs to hear this, but WRITE THEM DOWN! Write them down, work towards them, and manifest! You are gonna crush all those goals this year! I believe in you!

Actually, let's keep you accountable. Let me know a few of your goals down in the comments.

This blog post on "5 Things Every College Student Should Know in 2020" is sponsored by Xfinity; of course, all opinions are my own. It's been a little while since I've made a blog post, but I've just been in the work. Getting to it and going through the motions and trying to take some well needed offline time. I guess you can say, I've been in my bag.

There's been so much that has been happening for me. Not only the usual work, but also I had something huge happen last month, I became a new AERIE AMBASSADOR. Yes! You heard that right, I am the newest Aerie ambassador for the 2020-2021 year. It's such an exciting opportunity and I am so blessed to be able to have this opportunity as a small blogger.

I am so grateful this opportunity was presented to me, and I can't wait to dive even deeper into the work.

One thing that I have really been thinking about since the start of August was actually having trackable monthly goals. Surprisingly, I never really set monthly goals for myself. I am a huge goal setter when it comes to things I want to achieve like getting a job, starting a blog, or working with a company in a paid fashion.

But honestly, I never set actual monthly goals for myself. I never really thought too. I never tracked my progress, and that was a huge missed opportunity for me.

So this month, I wanted it to be different. I made actual goals that I want to achieve for the month that will help me get to my big picture goals.

So I am really excited to work towards these smaller goals, and to practice being more productive and consistent so that I can eventually hit some of my larger goals I've been wanting to achieve forever, I just feel like August is going to be a great month, because I am heading into the month with a greater FOCUS.

I am super excited to start this monthly goal journey. And I have a few personal goals that I wanted to share with all of you, so here they are!

What are some goals you want to work towards in the month of August? Comment them below.

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690804363013825528.post-40965526111035488712020-07-18T10:11:00.007-07:002020-07-18T10:22:05.157-07:00My First Year Post-grad: Reflection + future goals

It’s so crazy to believe that I graduated from college one whole year ago.

On one hand, It feels like time has literally zipped by so FAST. But honestly, so much has changed and I feel like I have grown so much.

First of all, let’s talk about how I graduated with absolutely NO JOB like many recent grads do. And I feel like so many people feel ashamed of that, but they shouldn’t be. For me, the interview and job application was the worst ever, and I still felt like there wasn’t any progress.

I sent in so many applications and connected with so many people on LinkedIn, but I still encountered a huge STRUGGLE. But I just kept going, and I decided to focus on what I did have. I had an internship and I had my blog, Festively Faith. During that time, my mom would always tell me, “What you focus on expands.” So that’s exactly what I did. I decided to focus on those things like my blog and, and eventually, other opportunities started coming my way.

Although I didn’t have a job right away, I did have additional time that I could dedicate to growing my blog, and as a result, I decided to grow that to a bigger scale and take it more seriously. I gained my first paid partnership that summer, and I was absolutely SHOOK! I temporarily went back to my high school serving job, but I continually planted seeds for my future (which I am so thankful for looking back.)

Because what started out as a season of uncertainty, quickly turned into a season of preparation and opportunity. Because what first started out as one internship, eventually turned it to two internships when I secured an internship at the best beauty company ever (that just so happens to be headquartered in my home town.)

And not to suddenly Fast Forward my post-grad story, but let’s just say I ended up securing a job at the beauty company too which leads me to now working in my dream position doing social media. Everything seems so surreal, but today I am super excited to just reflect on it, and also share some goals I have for the future.

Honestly, I feel like I have accomplished so much, and it feels so good to reflect because sometimes I feel like so many of us are in a rush to get the next stage, that we don’t realize how much we have accomplished. Sometimes you just need to say: “I did that!” I really did! But also I am excited to see what else I can do within the next few years. Which leads me to my future goals for the next few years.

Future Goals:

Brand Goals:

One goal I have is to continually grow my personal brand Festively Faith by being consistent and continually strategizing. I would love to increase my readership on the blog, and grow on additional platforms as well. And I mean, blowing up on TikTok is also somewhere in there lol.

But one main goal of mine is to develop some sort of consistent income with blogging, and maybe become established enough to help and support other smaller bloggers in some way or another.

Educational Goals:

I feel like many recent grads have been asked the question “do you want to go back to school?”

For me, my answer to this was immediately “NO” because I just dreaded the thought of willingly going back to school after I had just worked so hard in undergrad.

But since I’ve started my career, sometimes I do think about potentially furthering my education in the next few years. As you all know, I work in social media marketing so I think as I grow in my field, a MBA or some sort of marketing program or certification could really help leverage myself into higher positions. The more time I’m out of school, the more time I consider possibly getting some kind of additional certification or higher education degree.

But to be honest, the grad school process and the application process seemed extremely intimidating for a long time. People who I knew were attending grad school directly after undergrad always said the same thing: “That it was A LOT.”

But lately I have been using this platform called Admit.me to help me with starting my research, and it’s been SO helpful.

But Admit.me me is not just research. To put it simply, Admit.me is a platform built by admissions experts for those who are interested in higher education. And when I tell you, this makes the higher education process SO EASY and wayyyy less intimidating, I am so serious (and the best part about it is that it’s free!)

Although, I think grad school is a farther down the line for me in terms of my future goals, I think Admit.me is a great place to start even if you are just a little curious about the graduate school process. And I’m happy to say, I am super excited to say that Admit.me is partnering with me on today’s blog post.

Here’s how it works:

1. First, make a free account on Admit.me and fill out the needed information (takes less than 5 minutes.)

2. Getting your AMI. Your AMI is your Admit.me Index which is basically a credit score of admissions that’s determined from an expert vetted algorithm. After you fill out the AMI information, it will calculate your AMI number. This number represents the chance of acceptance to any given school.

3. Once you get your AMI, it then matches you with a list of schools (easy, right!?) This feature is perfect for people who don’t know where to start when determining a school. Plus the school selection feature gives a comparison between your AMI and a school’s AMI and categorizes each school into stretch, target, and safety.

4. And the final feature it offers is the action plan feature that breaks down all the steps of the grad school process into an organized weekly task list (my fave part is that it lists out the hours needed to complete each task. So GENIUS!)

And especially since many of us are still at home, and have a little more free time on our hands, I think looking into grad school is such a great use of time. For me, I still have a few more years before I am interested in going back to school, but Admit.me makes it so easy for me to prepare for that time. I think applying to grad school is one of those things that aren’t talked about freely, and especially for those of us who are no longer in college and not in contact with our advisors. Admit.me is really helping me make my educational goals attainable, and I am so excited to dive deeper into the platform more in the next few months.

To register, click here

Career Goals

For my career goals, that is something I am still kind of determining. I would love to work my way up in some kind of manager role within marketing, and just continue to get better at my day to day tasks. The one thing with social media, is that things are always updating. A goal for me in my 9-5 is just to continually get better and stronger. I would also like to continue growing my freelance work, and potentially working with additional clients in the coming years.

Overall, with all my goals, I just want to get to a place where I can support myself, and fund my expensive taste lol. But so far, I am so proud of myself and how far I have come during this first year of post-grad life.

***This is a sponsored post in partnership with Admit.me All words and opinions are my own! I am back on the blog this week with yet another Festive Week in My Life. This is the fifth one, and I am so glad I brought this segment back on the blog.

Last week was a super busy and packed week between work, my room remodel, and freelance work and projects. Your girl is #tired, but there's so much to come. Things are really coming together, and I can taste all that there is to come. Lots of partnerships in the works, and just a lot happening in general that I cannot wait to share. Again, on Monday we were back in the office again. If you are new here, I work in social media and currently we work in the office two days per week, and the other three days are spent working from home. This day was really productive, and I spent most of my day writing captions and posting content. You know, just the day in the life of a social media manager.

Tuesday, I woke up bright and early and headed to Time Hortons to get my morning coffee and egg bites (I'm so obsessed!) And at around 8:00 am I got back home and started to pitch a couple of brands. Lately, I have been extremely motivated when it comes to my blog, so I took this morning to get a head start.

And to my surprise, my pitches actually worked, and some exciting collabs are in the works. I am so happy I've finally gotten comfortable with pitching because now my content will be even greater!

On Wednesday it was back to the office again, and Wednesday is my longest meeting day, so that was pretty much the whole day. First prepare for the meeting, the actual meeting, and then the wind down from the meeting. I am the only one who feels exhausted after super long work meetings. Please let me know if you feel me on this in the comments below.

Thursdays are always pretty chill, I mainly just got a bunch of work done in preparation to close out the week. We had a weekend mini-campaign launch, so most of my day was making sure we were prepared and ready for that as much as possible. After work, I went to pick up an online order from Lowes, and honestly, this was a whole mess. The amount of time it took to receive my order (and the line wasn't that long) was insane. I don't want to spend my whole time ranting about the service, but just know it was not pleasant.

It's FINALLY Friday! I spent most of this day making sure everything was in line at work. There were a few edits the social team had to make, so much of the day was spent doing that. After the workday was over, I actually went MATTRESS SHOPPING! As some of you know from my Instagram story, I am redoing my room. I just bought an entire full-size bed, and I'm so proud. On the way home from the mattress store, I picked up some pizza, and had a pretty chill night.

On Saturday was 4th of July, but like many people this year, I really didn't do much. I honestly took the day to spray paint my desk pink, and I also had to do a lot of posting on my job's Instagram. Other than that, I really just took the day to relax and unwind. And of course, I had some leftover pizza lol!

Sunday, was another room makeover day. This time it was all about the wallpaper. BUT WAIT, there's more to this story. I ran out of wallpaper only 1/3 of the way in. And sadly it's still unfinished as I type this, but the additional rolls will luckily be here this Wednesday. This room makeover situation is really a labor of love, and I am realizing that trying to redo a room on a budget is just not working for me. I am ultimately going to be spending a lot more coin than planned, but I am so excited to see the finished product. Stay tuned everyone!

Until next week,

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690804363013825528.post-74426116670805910712020-07-05T20:09:00.002-07:002020-07-05T20:17:45.114-07:00Let's Boss Up: It's okay to want more

It's officially been a little over a year since I've graduated from college, and when looking back my growth has honestly been INSANE.

I've come a longgg way, you don't even know.

Just to think about last year, and how far I have come as far as my career, finances, and my personal brand is CRAZY. When I first graduated, I had no idea what I would end up doing. I had no job, I just had my blog, and a couple unpaid internships. I took a leap, and I just kept working because I knew that if you keep putting hard work out into the world, success will come to you.

One year later, I really have manifested the career I've wanted, and my personal brand has grown to the point where I am partnering with incredible brands even as a nano influencer. I am so satisfied with where I am, but lately, I have given myself permission to go after more and continue dreaming beyond what I have accomplished.

I never want to be stagnant. I never want to feel so comfortable with where I am that I choose not to dream even bigger. I really want to just continue elevating, and I think you should too.

This is your reminder to stop playing small and know that it's okay to want more.

I think in a lot of ways, wanting more is often seen as a bad thing. Almost like you are ungrateful with where you are, but to me, it is a refusal to being stagnant. If we are satisfied and comfortable, how can we grow?

I want to continue growing all that I have accomplished. I want to become a greater blogger, a greater social media coordinator, a greater freelancer. I want more, and I will get it.

I want to remind you to keep dreaming and keep going after growth. That is how you boss up. That is how you manifest beyond what you can even dream. I know everyone thinks 2020 is canceled, but honestly, it's not over. We don't need a certain year to determine what we can accomplish. It really is just about putting work into something every single day. There's no secret code, it really is just small tasks every day that lead to success.

So keep putting the work in, and keep climbing high. It's okay to want more, and you will have more. I promise.

So my question for you is... what more do you want?

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690804363013825528.post-21905000030828121632020-06-30T20:10:00.001-07:002020-06-30T20:25:04.785-07:00FESTIVE WEEK IN MY LIFE #4: PAINTING MY ROOM, BUSY WORK WEEK, AND SPENDING TIME OUTSIDE

Hey Everyone, I'm back at it again with another Festive Week in My Life. A nice grind it out kinda day, and I'm happy to let you all know I didn't buy lunch all week last week, that's just a personal win I thought I'd share lol.

Monday night was also cool because my clothing order from Boohoo came, so once I got home I had a fun try-on sesh with my mom. I love everything so much, and I can't wait to share the looks with you all through future blog posts.

On Tuesday, we had a work from home day, and I pretty much worked on content for July, and I also went LIVE on my company's Instagram page sharing some of our bestselling lip colors. Then, after I got off work, my mom and I headed to my brother's apartment for his girlfriend's birthday celebration. It was a good gathering and basically was my first time seeing a group of people (outside of work) in a while. It was nice, and I enjoyed myself. After the party, my mom and I got some Burger King on our way home as a little (kinda) late-night snack.

On Wednesday, nothing really spectacular happened at work. I got some work done, we had a marketing call, and then I drove home. It was pretty uneventful, but, my brother and his girlfriend also swung by our house to drop off some cake that was leftover from the party. It was weird seeing my brother two days in a row because honestly since quarantine, that never happens lol.

On Thursday, I had another work from home day, which consisted again of planning July content for my job, but also thinking about fun ways we can celebrate reaching 250k on IG as a social team. A few of my marketing team friends and I hopped on a brainstorming call that probably lasted way longer than it should have, but it was so much fun just thinking of new things for social. And it's always fun talking with them about work and non-work related stuff.

A little later Thursday evening, I got some very exciting news that I can't wait to share with you all. As soon as I can, I will! But just know it's BIG! I was so excited, and the feeling is still there even as I type this!

FRIDAY VIBES

Friday, I started out my day working from home on my deck. It was such a nice day, and there's just something about grinding it out on a sunny day. Fridays are a catch-up day for me, so I usually work for a few hours, and once I'm done I'll work on my blog or Instagram. I also took a lunch break and went to Wendy's and that was super delish cause I just love their chicken sandwiches.

Then for Saturday, it was PAINT DAY! I finally painted my room the grey color I've been wanting. This has been a goal of mine since January, and I finally accomplished it. Saturday, we got most of the wall's done, and that in itself was pretty exhausting. We left touching up the walls for the next day, and then headed to Burger King (again) for some Impossible Whoppers (so yummy.)

Now we're on to Sunday! My mom and I mostly just touched up the walls, and I put in an online order at Lowes because guess what!? I'm gonna have an accent wall! I'm super excited to share the finished product with you all, I've been in major planning mode for the past few weeks, and I really am determined to finish by July. Stay tuned!

Thanks for sticking around for this week's Festive Week in my Life! I can't wait until next week.

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690804363013825528.post-29250805589523605332020-06-21T19:54:00.005-07:002020-06-21T20:05:55.278-07:00FESTIVE WEEK IN MY LIFE #3 : POST QUARANTINE CUT, Back 2 Office, Relaxing WEEKEND VIBES

Hey Festive babes!

I just wanted to pop on this Sunday evening to bring you guys another Festive Week In My Life! It was great to see all my coworkers after months of working from home. It's definitely a different vibe in the office like wearing masks to meetings, etc. But it's nice to actually see people and collaborate on projects with coworkers in person. Currently, we are working in the office two days a week, so that's super exciting. I'm ready for work outfits and plenty of Doordash lunches lol.

Also on Monday, we also launched a new lip gloss at work! If you don't already know, I work at a beauty company, so launches are always super fun. The new gloss we launched is called Dreamchaser, check out the photos below.

The Lip Bar's new Dreamchaser gloss

Tuesday and Wednesday were normal workdays. Nothing special, just meetings and social media things. I'm super excited that the social media accounts at my job have been growing like crazy! So many people are showing love to Black Owned businesses, and it's been super amazing, and can't wait to grow it even more.

Thursday was a day to tie up loose ends from the week. We had Juneteenth off as a company, so Thursday was making sure weekend posts were secure, and work was finished up. I would say the social media team killed it, but that's just my opinion lol.

YASS, now to Friday! It was also my first real day off in a long time. Shoutout to Juneteenth! I spent time outside in my backyard. I shot some content, and watched a good bit of YouTube, and picked out paint for my room. I would say the day was perfect.

Saturday was a BIG DEAL because I GOT MY HAIR DONE. After three months in quarantine, it was much needed. I got my hair cut in a bob again, and I'm so obsessed. It definitely gave me an immediate mood booster because when you look good, you feel good. And I officially feel great cause I'm summer time ready. Summer dresses, and short hair flips are my mood all summer lol.

Anddd that's about it! I will catch you guys up next week around the same time.

Byeee.

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com15tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5690804363013825528.post-72082961174024671912020-06-17T20:49:00.001-07:002020-06-17T20:51:40.592-07:00Let's Boss Up: What would happen if you just went for it?

I often think about success, and how it happens.

It can look like such a beast, so massive, and something so far away and unattainable. Especially when looking at others and their success.

It's like okay, how did they get 2 million on TikTok in just a couple months? Or how did her blog post go viral? Or how did she get that job?

I've been there believe me. Looking at others and wondering how success will look for you? You're wondering if it will happen fast, or slow, or maybe even at all. You start thinking about all the equipment you don't have, and all the connections you don't have, and all the resources you lack. But, guess what? You have you, and that's all you need.

And that's really it! Those people you are admiring, don't have superpowers, but they did put the work in, and so can you. And I just want you to know that no one has the sauce like you do.

No one has the voice that you have, or the magic that you have when you put your spin on it. No one does it quite like you. Right now, the world needs you!

I'm asking, what would happen if you just went for it? With 100% passion, no fear, just passion. What if we spent less time consuming and more time creating. What if we neglected fear, and instead put on our courage hat? If we ignored imposter syndrome and just put in the hours, the late nights, and the unglamorous work.

What if you just went for it?

What if you started from where you are, with that iPhone in hand, and just worked it. And hit up your friends Google YouTube and researched all you needed to know.

I want you to know that there's no difference between you, and everyone else. You might think that life has just handed you an average deck of cards, but I'm here to tell you that's a lie. You were built for greatness, and that thing you keep dreaming about is apart of your purpose, so stop ignoring it.

I'm telling you to upload, hit publish, send that pitch, do whatever you need to go for it!

Let me just be clear so that everyone knows...we're not playing small anymore or failing to deliver out of fear. Moving forward, we're putting the work in daily and appreciating our small daily growth. Because that's how you win.

Just think where you'll be 6 months from now if you did even the smallest thing every day to work towards your goals. Wait, I know where you'll be... miles ahead of where you are... so just go for it.

Just put the work in, and know that it's going to get you somewhere. You never know how something small you do today, can lead to something wayyy bigger. So just keep going for it!

Faith Riggshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06315248779651023053noreply@blogger.com1
